ITHACA, N.Y. -- The second-seeded softball team fell to top-seeded Plattsburgh 5-1 and will now face the Cardinals in a second and deciding game on Sunday, May 14, at 3 p.m. The winner of that game will advance to the College World Series at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex in Raleigh, N.C.
Plattsburgh (40-8) scored two runs in the first and second inning and added one more in the third to take control of the game at 5-0.
